The Spanish Confederation of Wood (CONFEMADERA) has released the results of foreign trade in wood products (excluding furniture) for the first eight months of 2011, which show revenues of 754.2 million euros in sales sector the outside.

As for the origin of imports of wood products, Portugal returns to position itself as a leading supplier of our country, with € 138.2 million, followed by France with € 116.5 million, and Germany (€ 79millones).

By regions, Catalonia leads imports of wood products, with € 179.8 million in purchases from abroad and a decrease of 5.7% over the previous year.
