I CONFEMADERA + LAUNCHES INNOVATIVE PRODUCTS WOOD TO BUILD CONTRACT FOR THE

The Spanish Confederation of Wood, CONFEMADERA, has set up R & Wood, an innovation project applied to products and processes of knowledge transfer and professional training in wood and furniture from which to develop innovative products contract under the parameters of channel universal accessibility.In this case, R & Wood focuses on equipping the different rooms of a hotel: rooms, reception, restaurant, work spaces, meeting and leisure facilities (swimming pools, spa, solarium, gym, children ...), parking, gardens and so on.These groups will be supported by technical management for the design of the new line of products, their conceptualization and ingenierización in prototyping.

The contract market is a commercial channel that specializes in the design, manufacture, supply and installation of global projects of furnishing and equipping of public spaces, whether educational, healthcare, hotel, office, etc..

This will create 4 working groups specialized by type of products: structures and carpentry, furniture for the equipment of private spaces, spaces and equipment for outdoor equipment.

The new products will be developed relying on innovative new materials and finishes for wood, fireproof, waterproof, nanocomposites, hybrid materials, etc.The project is funded by the Ministry of Education and the European Social Fund.

This initiative involves 16 schools in 8 autonomous communities FP, 40 teachers and 400 students, companies and providers, the Association of Teachers of FP Wood and Furniture (PROFEMADERA), the Spanish Federation of Employers and Industrialists of Furniture ( FEDERMUEBLE), all under the coordination of CONFEMADERA and with the assistance of four technology centers.- And under the criteria of eco-design in order to reduce its environmental impact throughout its life cycle.

Through this cooperative project and its partners aim CONFEMADERA achieve continuous improvement in the quality of vocational training, to attract talent of the students enhancing the attractiveness of the wood-furniture industry, contribute to the adaptation of VET to the needs of businesses promoting the future employability of students and improve the skills of participating teachers to foster new experiences that stimulate their creativity and their students.
