CONFEMADERA PSOE MEETS WITH INDUSTRY CLAIMS SUBMITTED FOR FACE TO THE ELECTION OF 20-N

The Spanish Confederation of Wood, CONFEMADERA, represented by its Director, Beatriz del Castillo, and several business representatives and associations made in the Confederation-Alfonso Lopez and Canals Genoveva, President and Secretary General of ANFTA, respectively, Jose Luis Lopez Vice President and President of ASEM FEVAMA, Juan Manuel Urquizu, President of ACEBM, and Carlos Fernandez, president of Living with Wood - by following his round of contacts with political parties met on day 27 in Valencia during the celebration Maderalia Fair with the coordinator of PSOE's economic program, Inmaculada Rodríguez-Piñero, in order to bring them the sectoral proposals to be taken into account the forthcoming general elections of November 20.

CONFEMADERA representatives were handed to the representative of the PSOE in a document with the measures requested by the sector for the next legislature.

The paper delivered at the meeting is a political document positioning, prepared by the management sector, which includes these and other demands such as implementation plans and offices renovated home, creating campaigns for Spanish habitat equipment, modifications in the regulations governing the forest transportation in the sense of increasing loads of forestry vehicles and wood products as in the countries of our European environment, which makes it cost-effective management of forests and forestry; or carbon footprint aspect that legislative change would be important to promote the use of low-carbon intensity, such as wood, construction and rehabilitation, to support climate change mitigation.Not forgetting the export promotion through strong support in the industry export plans.

Continuing the dialogue process between CONFEMADERA and major political forces in the country, started last September 26 with UI. Have also been held and interviews with UPyD, BNG and CIU in order to reach the main political representatives sectoral demands and legislative requirements in the wood industry and furniture industry in Spain.
