CONFEMADERA PROMOTES INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION IN THE FIELD THROUGH A DAY
- The seminar was organized in collaboration with the Embassy of the Republic of Latvia
The Spanish Confederation of Wood, CONFEMADERA, with the help of live projects with wood, built with wood and Spanish Forest Technology Platform held last June 30 in Madrid a seminar on architecture and timber market Latvia with the aim of promoting cooperation in the international business sector of both countries.
At the conference, inaugurated by the Ambassador of Latvia in Spain, Rolands Lappuķe and President of the Association of Timber Industry of Latvia Kristaps Klauss, addressed the current state of real estate and construction in Spain and Latvia and the role they have exercised the right Latvian wood construction in new homes or rehabilitating old buildings and, right now, are growing considerably.
Carlos Fernandez, president of Project Living with Wood, was on hand to present the advantages of wood for the care of people and the environment, emphasizing the benefits, environmental, social, economic, health, etc.., Which is the use of this material in architecture, construction and our environment.
According to the President of Living with wood, thanks to such initiatives, the timber industry promotes international cooperation in order to share experiences with other countries and nourished by what is being done overseas, so that we can learn from the already done and find synergies in order to dig.
Architects, academics and businessmen presented the Latvian history of wooden architecture in the city of Riga and its development in recent years, offering information restored wooden houses in the region and research around the wood, whose applications have enabled efficient and cost effective innovations in construction.
