BAMWOOD WORK WINS COMPETITION TO DESIGN IDEAS TO STAND IN FIMMA-MADERALIA CONFEMADERA
The Spanish Confederation of Wood (CONFEMADERA), together with the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV) through the School of Architecture (ETSA) have announced the winners of ideas for the design of the stand the Confederacy in the 35th edition of MADERALIA, to be held from 25 to 28 October in Valencia.
The jury, which ruled the award yesterday in Valencia, was composed of Ana Llopis, Director of the ETSA-UPV, Carlos Fernandez, representing CONFEMADERA and Chairman of the project Living with Wood, M ª José Puigcerver, representative of Feria Valencia, Jose Luis Ros, Dr.architect and professor at the Department of architectural projects of the ETSA-UPV; Angeles Mas, architect and professor Dr. Dept. of architectural projects of the ETSA-UPV, Ramon and Francisco Silvestre Esteve, both architects and professors of the Departmentarchitectural projects of the ETSA-UPV.
The awards were granted in response to the originality of the work and creating a space that they live the versatility, design, innovation and the role of wood as a decorative and constructive solution, leading to a multipurpose space where they can CONFEMADERA different activities and the Spanish Council for the Promotion of wood, consisting of projects Living in Madera, Madera and Transport Building with wood, with the aim of promoting the use of wood and its products to end users, architects, engineers , designers, students, teachers ..., educate and inform on their properties and applications.
With these premises, the jury highlighted the quality of all proposals submitted and, in the case of the winners, their simplicity and their potential for physical implementation, and has awarded the first prize Peñín Fuster Ana Maria and Maria Jesus Mora Hernandez Bamwood work.
In convening this contest CONFEMADERA, ETSA-UPV MADERALIA and join forces to promote a culture of wood from young students to know and can then publicize the properties, possibilities and technical and aesthetic qualities of this material.
